Our Experience. Your Signature.

Your Cabinet Finish:

The finish on your cabinetry has been carefully formulated and applied for its durability and resistance to moisture and common household chemicals.  With proper attention for care, your Valley Cabinet cabinetry will look stunning for many years to come.

Proper care after construction:

  • After installation remove heavy dust particles with a vacuum with a soft brush
  • Wet a clean, soft cloth with warm water, wipe the cabinets and dry promptly
  • Perform the final cleaning using a soft cloth and Pledge Multi-Surface Cleaner, or water and dishwashing liquid. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth

Daily Cleaning:

  • Promptly wipe up spills with a clean soft cloth
  • Clean using a soft cloth and Pledge Multi-Surface Cleaner, or water and dishwashing liquid.
  • Rinse and dry with a soft cloth

Painted Cabinetry:

  • Promptly wipe up spills with a clean, soft cloth
  • Clean using a soft cloth and Pledge Multi-Surface Cleaner, or water and dishwashing liquid.
  • Rinse and dry with a soft cloth
  • For stains or stubborn markings that are not removed with daily cleaning, dampen a cloth with mineral spirits. Try first in an inconspicuous area.

What to avoid:

  • Harsh abrasive pads
  • Harsh chemicals
  • Cleaners with bleach or citric acid
  • Wax & spray polishes – will create a wax film build up
  • Silicone based products – may harm the finish
  • Everyday dishcloths – they may contain grease or dirt from previous use
  • Excessive moisture – draping a damp towel or use of too much water are enemies of any stained or painted finish.
  • Getting water into the profiles of the doors & drawer fronts – can cause moisture related failures
  • Extreme temperature changes & fluctuation in humidity – causes expansion & contraction resulting in damage to the finish, joinery, and construction of cabinetry. Humidity at approximately 35% is recommended at all times.

Sometimes cleaning your cabinetry is easier with the drawers and doors removed.  Valley Cabinet uses industry leading Blum hinges and drawer slides in our cabinetry.  Blum not only makes high quality hinges and drawer slides, they also make it very easy to remove – this short video shows you how.
